The Electric Current Fizz is an easy cocktail recipe that pairs a gin fizz with a prairie oyster, a dressed egg yolk shot.
1. In a shaker, combine all ingredients except for soda water. Add one small piece of ice and shake until the ice is dissolved; this helps emulsify the egg white. 2. Add more ice to the shaker and hard shake, then strain into a fizz glass or short Collins glass. 3. Top with soda water. 4. Serve the fizz with the prairie oyster in a shot glass. ### Prairie Oyster Reserve the egg yolk, taking care not to puncture it. Season the yolk with a pinch of salt, black pepper and Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco to taste (start with one dash of each). Serve in a shot glass alongside the drink. Note: The appeal of the Prairie Oyster lies in the seasoned yolk bursting during the shot, so take care not to puncture it.
